El Fogón es posiblemente la mejor comida mexicana auténtica en Playa del Carmen. La especialidad del restaurante es Pastor. Pastor (cerdo asado lento) no está disponible legalmente en restaurantes en los Estados Unidos porque no se cocina a una temperatura lo suficientemente alta. Sin embargo, en México, esto no es un problema.

El Fogón is arguably the best authentic Mexican food in Playa del Carmen. The restaurant’s specialty is Pastor. Pastor (slow roasted pork) is not available legally in restaurants in the United States because it is not cooked at a high enough temperature. However, in Mexico, this is not an issue. At El Fogón, you can get a pastor taco for the US equivalent of 50 cents. Everything on the menu is delicious and reasonably priced. Four people can leave completely stuffed for less than 30 USD (total!!!!).

They also have a great selection of Mexican beers and sodas. There are few restaurants where you can get such amazing food for such a good value. If the locals says it’s worth visiting, make it worth your while to try the food.
